Great product with a couple of caveats
This application does what it’s supposed to do: it allows you to access the media and document files on the Leef iBridge. It’s a reasonably competent media player, lets you shoot photographs and record movies directly to the device and provides rudimentary file management services.
Three caveats:
First, the program wants to reindex the files on your device each time it starts and again when you open the media player portion of the application. This can take a few minutes if you have a large number of files.
Second, just be aware that there is no security on this device. Lose the iBridge, and anyone can plug the device into a computer or iPhone and access your files. I use encrypted file systems on any removable media I use with my Macbook: you can’t do that with the iBridge and still have it work on the iPhone.
Third, the pass-through charging option doesn’t appear to work with IOS9 on the iPhone 6+. It works fine on my wife’s iPhone 5 running IOS7. This apparently is a IOS9 issue, and I suspect it will be fixed in a future upgrade.
